Logoi and Muthoi: Further Essays in Greek Philosophy and Literature edited by William Wians

This volume of essays is the second devoted to exploring philosophical themes in Greek literature that William Wians has edited. The first, Logos and Muthos: Philosophical Essays Literature, was published 2010. Both attempt correct clarify old schema Nestle’s Vom Mythos zum [1940], a work tinged with ideology prevailed Germany at time. To this end, volumes propose avoid simplistic schemas, such as “Greek miracle” or transformation irrational into rational. Muthoi logoi are realities have much richer more complex relationships each other than mere substitution proposed by Nestle.
